Dental Treatments
Dental Implants
Treatment is available for single tooth dental implants, multiple implants and full mouth dental implant reconstruction using the latest Cad-Cam and planning facilities with CT scans.
Crowns
Dental Crowns are used for the restoration of damaged, cracked or broken down teeth using materials that are fabricated by indirect methods which are cemented into place. A crown is used to cap or completely cover a tooth.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth, or to protect a damaged tooth surface. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer, composite and porcelain.
Bridges
A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants.
Root Canal treatment
If the pulp of a tooth has become diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth. Root Canal treatment (Endodontic treatment) is a sequence of treatments for the pulp of a tooth whose end result is the elimination of infection and protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion. Digital x-rays help reduce the dosage of x-rays exposed to the patient.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic irregularities are corrected using corrective appliances known as braces.
Laser Dentistry
Laser dentistry can be a precise and effective way to perform many dental procedures.
Inlays and onlays
Inlays and onlays are used when a cavity is large but the surrounding tooth is healthy. Instead of reducing the healthy tooth to fit a crown, inlays are made from porcelain, gold or resin. An inlay sits in a hole in the tooth and an onlay sits on the tooth to build up its shape.
Sedation
Oral and intravenous sedation is available at request for nervous patients. General Anaesthetic is also available through the private patients, Coombe Wing at Kingston hospital.
Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit you. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you'll be proud of.
Periodontics
Periodontics, is the branch of dentistry which studies supporting structures of teeth, and diseases and conditions that affect them. Periodontal treatment is treatment for gum disease. Often performed by gum specialist or periodontist.
