Zygomatic Dental Implants

Zygomatic Dental Implants

Zygomatic dental implants are used in patients with extreme jaw resorption and may have either been informed they need advanced bone grafting or they don't have enough bone for dental implant placement. Elmfield House Dental Practice is one of few centres in the UK using this approach with our Consultants for the immediate rehabilitation of patients.

Elmfield House is also a training centre for International Training Courses run in association with NobelBiocare UK Ltd. ( www.ehdel.co.uk)

Zygomatic dental implant cases can be seen on our cases gallery.

Inlays and onlays

Inlays and onlays are used when a cavity is large but the surrounding tooth is healthy. Instead of reducing the healthy tooth to fit a crown, inlays are made from porcelain, gold or resin. An inlay sits in a hole in the tooth and an onlay sits on the tooth to build up its shape.
